Joan's Sneak Peak

My good friend and neighbor Joan is making her first witch doll. GO Check her out on her blog. As for me, I am struggling to get to my homework! GRRRR.

~Zelda~

I finished another little Halloween item, this weekend. I will be putting her on E-Bay this week. My first semester is officially over tonight at midnight. I have a whole week off, so I hope I can create a few more items before the new term begins. I am pretty tired, today. I have been trying to nap for a while each day, since the kitties were waking me up at 4am. I feel like taking one right now. Yawn. I wanted to work on another item, today...so hopefully, I will have the energy. I hope you like Zelda. :)

Now on WSOAPP SALES BLOG

Blonde Witch?

I made her blonde on a whim, but oooh it looked so good with her light green eyes and her outfit. Now, I am hoping I can make a cute floppy witch hat for her without taking away from her pretty hair.

This hair is Tourmaline from Crowing About Primitives. It is really pretty. Reminds me of when I was a tot. My mom says I had white hair, just like cotton! WHAT HAPPENED? LOL I turned into a brunette with green eyes. That was really tramatic for me.

Anyway, I still have not gotten much else done on her. We went to Cherry Creek and ate some crepes~HUM~ But, I am stuffed. Kind of makes me want to nap. I should be getting a little bit more on her finished.

Check out this little colonial chair I bought for my dolls. It is really cute. I received some more art to add to my collection, today. But, I think I will share it tomorrow. So, I will have something to add. I really feel like I am a boring person, sometimes. Maybe it is just me...

Witch Nodder on Ebay

This witch nodder turned out very fun. I have already listed her on e-bay this afternoon. To view her auction click on the image.

Well, we finally got rain, here in the desert. We also got a tornado warning in the downtown area. We rarely get that. We waited for months for rain and that is what we get...tornado's. It cooled the air off and now it is actually a bit chilly out.
So, in other news. My neighbor gave me a trap. I feed the farrel cats in my neighborhood and there is a little black kitty that I have been feeding every evening. He has be only 4 months old. So, in order for him to survive I have to capture him and have him neutered. Poor thing is not gonna like that and it is gonna break my heart. I may be setting it up tomorrow evening, so wish me luck. I am hoping that he becomes somewhat friendly, so I can find him a home instead of letting him back out on the streets.
Well, I better get off this computer, we just had a quick power outage and well I do not want to ruin my computer...have a good evening!

Maya

I was supposed to work on a special order, today. I ended up having some issues with it, so I started Maya to give me a break. She will probably take me a couple of days, since I should be getting back to what I was making before. LOL

I like Maya's fabric. It is a vintage print, so pretty. Her hair is so kinky...I like it. It is Crowing About Primitives, Octavia. I am thinking about making her a kitty, since there are kitties all over her dress. Maybe just a kitty head, well see. I have a lot to do, today.

There is only a week left till WSOAPP's sales blog starts, so I may have to save a few items for that. I am not sure which ones as I am a bit fearful I do not have enough of a client base to sell on this type of thing. Hopefully the other artists' clients will come over and take a peak. Maybe Banni Bat, since I do not mind hold onto her for a while at least. Gosh, I sound so undecisive..not my normal behavior. I am sure when I have a good following, I won't have to worry about these types of decisions, right?

Halloween Parade starts today!

Check out all the fun items created by so many great artist.

Trick or Treat Witch Stocking

I am finished! This witch's hair is crazy (lol) It is Crowing About Primitives and the stocking is a Back Porch Pickins design. I have just painted it different and changed her hat and added a banner. I love her green eyes, they match the stocking! Too Cute. I hope she does well. The group launch is tomorrow.

All I have to do is get the two stockings ready to list and then it is time to stop doll making until I get those taxes done. Thrilling, I know. The group launch lasts for seven days, so that should be plenty of time for me to get a doll done by then. Our accountant is coming over Tuesday.

My headache finally went away. It has been 24 hours or more. But I found some 800 mg Ibuprofen and I dug at my neck for a bit last night (not sure if that helped) but I feel okay now. YEAH!

ONLY a few more hours till the close of my BLOG GIVEAWAY! 10pm tonight!! So, if you have not signed up...get to it! Well, I am off to get to the post office. Have a lovely weekend.

Not so hideous

Gosh, I am so happy with Helga, already. She is a Back Porch Pickins pattern, if you did not know.

Her name is Hideous Helga, but of course I had to make her pretty..and honestly, pictures do not do her justice (since her nose gets in the way)...lol I also must say, I was putting her off for a while cuz I was not so sure about making her hideous. Yeah right, she is my favorite..again. I keep re-inventing my favorites..lol

I cannot wait to share her when she is finished. I may list her when my other dolls are finished on ebay, which is only 2 days away, I think. I better get crackin! I am so tempted to keep her, though. LOL
I hope you all had a very productive Monday. I am making up for that lazy weekend I had.

Wendy and her boo kitty

The Cutest witch ever. That is what Wendy is. I love this fabric and the kitty is so much fun. I am tempted to take a picture of all my halloween dolls together. They are so much fun. I will be listing Wendy this weekend. So, please check back if you want to view her listing. I am excited about her and hope she does well. I am off to work, again. I need to get a couple shaker finished. Have fun!

I love packages!

Look who showed up at my front door, today . Back Porch Pickin's Devious Soul Seeker. She looks like me when I get mad! LOL She gets to sit on my desk and watch me work. How neat is that?

It was gettin' a bit crowded in here, so I moved my Angel Bunny from BBP to my master bedroom. She looks so nice in there. I do not have any dolls on the wall in there, but I was looking at her last night while I was in bed and I thought she goes so perfetcly in there. My hubby did not notice, if he did he did not mention her. you like how I am slowly taking over the house with my art collection? heehee

I really hope my dolls sell on ebay, this week. I only have one more day. Cat & Dog Lovers, remember? Well, I usually get discouraged about it, but I am doing okay. You cannot please everybody. I gotta keep pluggin away at it. Hopefully, my Halloween dolls will do better.

I am gonna get back to making them shakers. Have a good afternoon.

More Kitties

I have a busy day, today. I only have an hour before I have to go get my hair done. That is a 3 hour affair, then I have to stop at Michaels and the grocery store, so I won't be home for most of the day. So, I thought I would share a little bit of what I worked on last night.

I am making this little kitty head to go with my pretty little witch. (notice the coordinating fabric). I am also working on a couple more shakers. (another kitty and a skelly) Lots to do, huh? I was gonna work on my doll a bit this morning, before I left, but whoops, ran out of thread for my machine.

I was visiting with my neighbor last night..she reads my blog (hi Amy) anyway, anything new that came out of my mouth was not new...cuz she reads my blog!! LMAO Well, what the hell. Why do I have to go out to socialize now? I could move to Alaska and still be connected, right? Not that I would want to live there...burrrr. I'd prefer Aspen, but who can afford that?

Well, I have to get going to make sure I have everything on my list to buy, today. I hate when I forget something and have to go back the next day! I hope your day is cool. It is gonna be hot again, today I am sure.

Sweet little witch project

Oh, I just love this wool~thanks Crowing About Primitives! I am so excited about this little girl. She is so glammed up, already. This fabric, well, I got the idea from Back Porch Pickins Vintage Annie Doll. It is just wonderful. So, the rest of my day I am going to start Pea Pickers Kitty shaker and work on this little witch some more.

Do you see Kelly Boo in the background? She fits perfectly in a doll chair. It will be difficult to sell her, she looks so good there!

My office is a disaster area and probably will be until the weekend, then it will be clean for about a day or two and back to work I go. LOL I am gonna be stuck on Halloween probably all month. I guess that is okay. I have plenty of time for other dolls this fall.

Well, (it seems like I always say...well) I am off to work again. That sounds like I work in santa's workshop. I do make dolls~ maybe he will hire me. LMAO.

Witch Stocking

I finished the project I started yesterday. I think she turned out really cute. She was made from a Back Porch Pickins Pattern with bits of my own touches.

To view her auction press here.

Back to more halloween dolls. I might try Helga out. I know she is popular right now, but I want to try. I will just list her for a smaller amount than others have, so maybe she will sell. I am sure someone would love to have one for a fraction of what others were going for. I am still waiting for supplies...yes, really! SO, hopefully I will get those bobbins in by Thursday so I can get my Bee Queen finished for the weekend. Have fun, today!
