~Pretty Purses~

I felted a couple of knitted and crocheted items, this morning. I had started this "snowball" purse before I started creating dolls and well just had it sitting unfinished for months. Since I have two nights of knitting with the girls, this week. I thought i would get it finished for show and tell.

This purse is of my own design. I am going to offer the pattern for sale at some point, if you are interested. I am supposed to be working on my santa doll, today. Which I need to get rolling on. I have errands to run, this afternoon, as well. So, not much time in my day and I have jury duty tomorrow...yuck!

Not much else in my world. We decided to have a pot luck at our house for Thanksgiving (inviting our church members) Our church is tiny, maybe about 20 people..if that! Not all will come since they have family here, but it should be a fun day.

Time is flying by! This dark at 5pm is weird and I never get used to it! I feel like I should be in my PJ's by 7pm...which I usually am. LMAO!

~Crochet Felting~

I decided to make that hat (that I somehow screwed up) into a bowl for some of my knitting supplies and I crocheted a matching needle holder. The pattern on the yarn came out really neat. I really love felting. It is so cool to watch how the yarn felts and shaping it into how you like. I have definitely got the bug again, to start felting. I may have to create another purse. I have dreams of writing/designing a felting book. Don't worry, I won't stop making dolls. I love that way too much to give up!

Besides this project, I treated myself to a movie on TV, but watched it in the theatre room. I never do that and I rather enjoyed it. I hope your weekend is going well. Later....

~What hat?~

It was a frustrating day for crocheting, yesterday. I was working on a Christmas present (not shown) and it kept getting smaller as I went. I took out my work probably three times. So, I am back to where I started from. I am not used to having to count my stitches. Just when I was thinking, "crocheting is easier than knitting." LMAO.

This picture is supposed to be the crown of a hat...but it sure does not look like it. Why is it flat? Isn't it supposed to be curved? I am following a pattern! So, I am either gonna have to take it all out or make this piece into a felted tote or something. So, all in all I wasted probably 4 hours! grrr.

I am not gonna be wasting time, today...so, you will be happy that I am gonna start working on a doll! At least I won't screw that up!!

It snowed about an inch this morning, but has already melted. It is a little chilly out, though. Shadow got up last night. Just hung out in the doorway to my office. I woke up at 6am to a crunching sound...she finally decided to eat. I got up and gave her water out of the tub (her favorite watering hole) and gave her a little soft food. So, it looks like she is doing fine. I am so glad. The vet said if she did not eat or drink today, she would have to be hospitalized...Oh that would go over really well..NOT! So, I am really glad she is better, even though she won't let me pick her up.

~Bobble fun~

I taught myself two new crochet stitches, yesterday. The half double and the bobble. The bobble is a blast. I started designing a scarf using this method..I am excited. This book is the easiest, if you know how to do your basic stitches and want to learn more. I have been knitting for years and only crocheting for days and I think I know more about crocheting than knitting now...I am gonna have to buy the Visual Knitting book, now.

Unfortunately, I won't be creating a doll, today. I have a lot of errands to run and some crocheting to work on...heehee. Hopefully, by Friday I will have something. Maybe Santa!
