More watercolor play. I think I am starting to get addicted to watercoloring in my journal. Lots of whimsical girls with flowers in their hair. I especially like the vibrant yellow hair. i can already tell I am getting better. Don't you? Skin tone with watercolor is a skill, I have to say. Good thing I don't draw realism. It takes way too much time. If I cannot get a painting in within a couple hours, I am kind of over it! I was reading some posts from some very amazing realism artists and they crank out one item in a week. WHAT? I cannot do that....too tedious for my taste. This is supposed to be fun, no a job! So, my dreams of getting really good at realistic stuff have changed. Because I know my obstacles and what I want out of my art hobby. To have fun, to express myself and to bring a bit of adventure to the dreary winter months. I really do not see myself spending 40 hours on one amazing painting....yeah nope...not me! At least not yet anyway....but maybe not ever. That is probably why I love photography so much. One click and you can have the most amazing photograph. It is an easy quick fix and gets me out of the house. Painting and playing with art is the same thing for me. I just want to create, share and inspire. :)
