I painted page 2 in my Renaissance Art Journal, this afternoon. She took me about an hour and a half. Using acrylic on gessoed journal paper. I think I really like painting from a reference picture. Most of my art is fantasy, which just comes out of my head, but i really enjoy using lights and darks to bring out shadows in realistic portraits. My art and characters far from realistic, and just a quick painting. But, this makes me so excited to learn to paint with oils.
