"All of your dreams can come true if you have courage to pursue them." - Walt Disney
Have you ever gone to the craft store to get one small item and ended up leaving with a whole cart full of stuff and an empty wallet? ha! I needed india ink and left with probably more than I needed, plus I forgot all my coupons! AHHH I did however, try out my new larger journal, colored pencils and markers by Jane Davenport. I was totally winging this page, but it was very therapeutic. I also used some stamps that I made myself. I was so inspired by this that I have decided to make more homemade stamps. I stopped creating them a while back because my cat kept rubbing up on my arm and ruining my carving! UGGG And no I won't lock my cat out of my craft room. I get more pleasure from my cat than my art. Sorry artsy friends, but it is the truth. If you said to me that I had to choose between my cat and doing art.....CAT will win every time! Good thing I don't have to make those kinds of decisions. ha ...Anyway, using stamps on my mixed media means they don't have to be perfect now!! They don't have to be perfect....is a sentence I tell myself everyday when it comes to my art. :)
