The Sun has won!

Now, I have another dilema. Well, normally I am not fickle about my art. I think this fabric is too boring for my sun. But, I hate going to the fabric store on the weekend. Uggh. So, what do you think? Should I try to find a more vibrant fabric? Should I not put any fabric on her and just paint her vibrant colors, like the rainbow?

So, I am going to put my little sun aside for now and see what people think about her. It is time to clean this office. Paper clay and paint are messy! Have a good weekend!

I have to agree with Dave on this one...needs mor detailing in the face..shading perhaps..and make the fabric pop! you could also add another layer of fabric underneath or on did a great job on the really did..don't think mine would have turned out that good..maybe a lump of oatmeal...:)

Hi Jenny,I'm glad you asked.I will tell you first, that my fav.dress when i was a teen looked almost like this fabric. But it had one detail your don't have.It had a very prett bright yellow bow tied at the neck.It was just made of some sort of rope string, don't know the name for it.But it made that dress shine, not to mention my gorgeous figure at the time.LOL Try puting something like that in yellow right below the chin.Hugs Marie Antionette

You are really good at this sculpting stuff, Jenny! I like the collar on the sun because it mimics the movement of the sun's rays. If you were to use another fabric for it, I could see a bright print of gold, deep red (to pick up her gorgeous lips) and perhaps a little black for contrast and to match the bobbin. Maybe in a bold plaid! Good luck, she is wonderful!

Maybe add some gold tulle jenny. a color that mimics the face and a bit of shimmer.
Some shading would make her pop.
