My first sewing project

This cute photo was taken when Shadow was still a kitten. The last day of my sewing class we made a t-shirt (doll size) with the serger.
Here is my baby kittens sportin' it for us!
I remember as a child I used to put kittens' in doll clothes. Who's cat's? I don't even remember that, maybe the neighbors. Oh, how they squirmed. We loved it, though. They were like real babies. :)
Now, I would not dare put my doll clothes on her! She is a big kitty, she would have non of it. The things I was able to do to her when she was still a kitten. Her first bath and dry with the blow dryer..first and last LOL. She was so trusting, back then.
Well, Happy Sunday to you. Get your rest, it is back to work tomorrow! :)

Jenny,
What memories this brought back to me of when my sister and I were little girls. We would dress our cat in baby clothes, even put a bonnet on her head and pushed her around in a baby buggy. What fun we had! LOL

Jenny,
My kitty Brute used to let me dress him up when I was little. Would lay on his back and stay in the baby doll buggie all day. LOL My dad used to get soo bad cause I put a dress on his male cat. LOL
But brute loved me most and so I could do just about anything to him and he didn't care. Till the day he died he was like that.
Sure miss him at times. Now I just dress my dollies. LOL

Sounds like lots of cats wore doll clothes in the 50's and 60's!! That was how I spent my days too, on the farm, pushing my doll buggy with my kitty wearing a dress and a bonnet!

Thanks for the memory,
Natalie

Pea,

That is too funny. I love that he let you do what you wanted.

Gosh, I would have loved a little buggie! LOL Well, I was born at the end of the 60's, so I was dressing the baby kittens in the early /mid 70's!! I am old fashioned though :) I love puffy skirts and ruffles!!

Hugs~

Jenny,
Some cats are just like that. My daughters cat goes for anything. She even bathes in the sink. Easy going kitty. But the other cat only gets what I call a butt wipe bath. I use baby wipes to clean her up and get rid of the dander. She hates to be brushed, bathed and most days touched unless it was her idea. LOL
But gotta love them.

OMG! You are right Brujita and Shadow could be twins! And I do have a cat named Shadow too, he is disabled and all black... all my kitties were strays, abused or abandoned-I kind of rescued them from my neighborhood in RI where I used to live. You have got a pretty tortie there as well, aren't they such big babies?
