Cat Lover

Well, I was sitting here thinking. I need a doll idea. It is not time for Halloween, for me yet...so hmmmmm. I had to decide with fabric I had on hand and this is what I have so far.

I am dedicating this doll to Cat Nap Inn Primitives and ALL you cat lovers out there. She is going to a be the Cat Lady. I am planning on making a felted kitty for her to hold, but I am still undecided if I need more than one....you know the typical steriotype. Anyway, I probably won't know till I am at that point in her creation.

I love her hair! I was a bit worried about how this funky stuff was gonna look, but she is fabulous! She looks much better in person. It is hard to see all the texture in it.

I am definately on a green eyes kick. Hey, I have green eyes and I am partial to them..they are really pretty to me. I have a bunch of glass eyes, but honestly, I like the painted eyes better. If anyone wants to try a pair of glass eyes, let me know I will send you a pair.

My idea for this doll came as I picked out the fabric and hair. Sometimes you just have to start and see what it becomes! I still have not got my bobbins in. I did get all my felt so I was able to work on that. I cannot finish my Bee Queen till I get that darn bobbin. I better go contact that person to check. I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! I have no plans and that is fine with me.

Jenny,
You are coming along nicely.
Sometimes you just have to work with what you have. I try to sometimes I see a piece of fabric or trim I have to have as it inspires a piece.
I will be home all weekend and don't mind at all. working on dollies.
Have a good one.

Hi Pea,

Thanks for stopping by. I may be working on a doll. Those bobbins were not sent (she is sending them tomorrow) so I had to extend my Berry Princess listing, cuz I do not think I will have them in time for the other two dolls.. No big deal. I will just work on what I can...maybe I will do some of the penny rug this weekend.

I can't wait to see the kitty. I Love making little needle felted things to go along with dollies...

They just take so much time. LOL Everthing takes so much time. But, I love putting detail into dollies.

Have FUN Creating.

Hey there Jenny,
Well don't I fill honored to be listed in your blog! I am known as the crazy cat lady...the house and yard are decorated in "cat stuff" so you know when you walk by...I must love cats..I do..I am wanting to buy me some of those glass eyes but am not sure how to attach them..are yours loop or wired? I would love a pair to try out..also I have a lot of bobbins that I am not using...what kind do you need? maybe we could do some trading...oh I don't know a doll for bobbins...or a felted kitty..maybe a litter of them...Oh I would love to have a litter of kittens right now...Oh I just love animal babies..I really do..just to hear their little meuwssss...oh just makes me melt just thinking about them...I know what you mean about your dolls and giving them away..I have had a hard time selling mine on ebay and making anything on them...but the way I look at it, sell them not so cheap but to get their attention and when you get a following then you can either price them higher or by then you will have a following that will be fighten for your dolls...its a hard one to pinpoint..anyway I love all your dolls, honestly you have a lot of talent and make me look bad...lol...keep up the good work..oh and I would love to see photos of your home..I love decorating and getting inspiration from others...love ideas...so put them back on...have a great rest of your sunday..you have certainly made mine...you know cats are like potato chips.. you can't have just one...:)
